Turkish Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation was founded in 1958 and serve as a Society for specialists in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The members of the society are over 1200 doctors. The missions and aims of the Society are to care about and follow the scientific advancement in technical and social fields of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, to supply new information especially to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation medical doctors and other health professionals. The Society publishes Turkish Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the official journal of the Society.
The Society also increases the co-operation among the members and protect the official rights of the health professionals.
Turkish Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is a member of International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.
