The ISPRM works to assist P&RM specialists, doctors as well as other health care workers, to become more effective practitioners and to improve the quality of life of people with impairments and disabilities all over the world. Major efforts to achieve this are the convening of international congresses every two years and providing rehabilitation medicine input to international health organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO).
The ISPRM International Resource Exchange Program will enable persons or organizations anywhere in the world to match needs and availability of services, expertise, educational and other resources in the field of P&RM via the World Wide Web.
To do this and to meet the mission and goals mentioned above the ISPRM needs the support of you, physicians and other health care professionals working in the field of P&RM all over the world. You can give that support directly by joining the ISPRM as an individual active or associate member and more indirectly by asking your National Professional Organization to become an Active or Associate National Society Member of ISPRM.
