Elections – Assembly of Individual Members

During the Assembly of Individual Members, to take place on 10 July 2018, 18:00-19:00 during the ISPRM 2018 World Congress in Paris, ELECTIONS will be held for the following positions:

WE ARE INVITING CANDIDATES TO SUBMIT THEIR NOMINATIONS BY SUNDAY 10 JUNE 2018

Note: One person can fulfill multiple of the below roles within the Assembly of Individual Members.

Chair of the Assembly of Individual Members – 2018-2020

One Chair of the Assembly of Individual Members will be elected from the Active Individual Members from all areas.  The Chair should also be active in one of the roles below. The Chair will be responsible for the activities of the Assembly of Individual Members.

Representatives of Active Individual Members to the Executive Committee – 2018-2020

3 Representatives of Active Individual Members to the Executive Committee positions are vacant – One representative will be elected for each area:

  • Europe, Eastern Mediterranean & Africa
  • Americas
  • Asia & Oceania

Note: This role will go into effect during the Executive Committee II meeting on Thu 12 July 08:00-09:00, the Executive Committee I meeting will be held with those currently in position.

Representatives of Active Individual Members to the Assembly of Delegates – 2018-2020

15 Representatives of Active Individual members to the Assembly of Delegates – 5 representatives will be elected from each of the 3 ISPRM areas.

Note: This role will go into effect during the Assembly of Delegates meeting during the ISPRM 2019 World Congress, however upon election you are invited as an observer to join the Assembly of Delegates meeting on Thu 12 July 14:30-18:00, Hall E.

The nominations and election process will be held according to the Article 7 of the Statutes and Article IV and Appendix II of the Policies & Procedures of ISPRM.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Assembly of Individual Members is authorized to advocate for the interests of Individual Members of the Society.
The functions of the Assembly of Individual Members are to:

  1. propose activities of the Society to attain the goals of its individual Members
  2. determine its strategy
  3. adopt activity reports and approve an annual plan of action
  4. draft policies and rules of procedure for its activities and ensure that these are applied
  5. elect representatives to the Assembly of Delegates (15) and Executive Committee (3).

The Representatives to the Assembly of Delegates and Executive Committee will be advocating the interest of the Individual members in these respective bodies and take part in the strategic and operational decisions of ISPRM.

ELIGIBILITY

All individual members of ISPRM are considered members of the Assembly of Individual Members (AIM). However, only Active Individual Members are eligible for any of the above positions. Ensure your membership is up-to-date here before applying.

To be eligible for the position of Representative of Active Individual Members to the Executive Committee, you should fulfill the following additional criteria:

  • to have a Medical Doctor degree with a PRM specialist title or equivalent
  • to have at least 10 years of PRM practice or national equivalent
  • to be an active and participating member in national and international PRM or related organizations
  • to be actively practicing and/or participating in organizational activities in his/her own country
  • to be an Active Member of the ISPRM (individually or through an Active National Society)

To apply for the above positions, please submit the following documents before the Sunday 10 June 2018 deadline to the ISPRM Central Office: your CV, a brief individual vision as to what you will be contributing to ISPRM & a formal declaration of fulfilling the requirements.
